Plenty of Green Day Tickets Available For Their Rescheduled Tour Dates

2012 was supposed to be the year when Green Day re-established their position in the upper echelons of contemporary rock with an ambitious trilogy of albums entitled Uno! Dos! Tre! and an accompanying world tour. Instead, last year turned out to be something of an ‘annus horribilis’ thanks to a remarkable on-stage breakdown at Las Vegas’ iHeartRadio Music Festival where frontman Billie Joe Armstrong smashed his guitar, launched a tirade of abuse, blasted tween idol Justin Bieber and stormed off the stage when the band were told to cut their set short.

A subsequent trip to rehab for substance abuse treatment also stalled the album’s promotional campaign, resulting its final instalment becoming the band’s first release to miss the US Top 10 in over 20 years. The entirety of their North American dates had to be either rescheduled or cancelled altogether. Thankfully, according to a press statement released at the end of December, Armstrong is now getting better every day, meaning that the band have been given green light to go back on the road for the first time since their mammoth 132-date 21st Century Breakdown world tour back in 2009/10.

Kicking off their shortened series of US dates, Mike Dirnt, Tre Cool and long-time touring guitarist, but newly-recruited official fourth member, Jason White, will join the troubled star on stage at Rosemont’s Allstate Arena on March 28th. Ticket prices for all 9 US dates on the tour are averaging $205, but you can get Green Day tickets for the tour opener for a get-in price of $54 and an average price of $179.

The quartet will then visit Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center on Mar 31 ($48/$223), Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena on April 1st ($69/210) and Philadelphia’s Liacouras Center on April 3rd ($55/$173). On April 4th the band will then head to Fairfax’s Patriot Center ($88/$212), Uncasville’s Mohegan Sun Arena on April 6th ($102/$309), Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 8th ($63/$190), and Providence’s Dunkin Donuts Center on April 9th ($78/$176). Following one of two Canadian dates at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on April 11th, where Green Day tickets are priced at a get-in/average of $66/$192 respectively, the band will travel to Europe for a 22-date tour which stops off at the likes of England’s Emirates Stadium, (June 1th) Italy’s Unipol Arena (June 6th) and Germany’s Nurburgring (June 9th).
