Sheryl Crow To Showcase New Country Sound On Summer Tour

April 26, 2013

After signing with Warner Music Nashville, one of the most successful female singer-songwriters of the last 20 years will get the chance to showcase her new country sound on the live stage with the release of Sheryl Crow tickets for a 2013 summer tour.

Of course, the nine-time Grammy Award winner has often incorporated her love of country music into her work, whether through collaborations with Kid Rock (“Picture,” “Collide”), Vince Gill (“What You Give Away”) and Loretta Lynn (“Coal Miner’s Daughter”) or her own Billboard hits, “All I Wanna Do” and “Everyday Is A Winding Road.”

But after focusing on roots-rock for 2008’s Detours and classic soul for 2010’s 100 Miles From Memphis, her upcoming eighth studio album will be the first time she’s committed to the genre entirely, with the likes of Brad Paisley and Emmylou Harris producer Richard Bennett just some of the names confirmed as collaborators.

Following three consecutive nights at Tennessee’s Franklin Theatre later this month, the former Michael Jackson backing vocalist will then spend the rest of the summer combining her own headline gigs with sets at various festivals including Live Oak’s Suwannee River Jam on May 4, Buffalo’s WYRK Taste of Country on June 14 and Monticello’s Great Jones County Fair on July 18.

Sheryl Crow tickets are currently available for three of her solo dates including Thackerville’s Winterville Casino on June 22 with a get-in price of $91 and an average price of $159, Highland Park’s Ravinia Pavilion on July 19 ($74/$78) and the Durham Performing Arts Center on August 3 ($94/$151). But with new dates being added all the time, be sure to keep checking back on TicketIQ.com for news on further ticket availability.

Alongside the prospect of new material including current single “Easy,” fans with Sheryl Crow tickets should also expect to hear the best of her back catalogue such as US Top 20 hits “Strong Enough,” “If It Makes You Happy” and “Soak Up The Sun,” and live favourites “A Change Will Do You Good,” “Steve McQueen” and “Leaving Las Vegas.” While her most recent shows have also featured her cover versions of Cat Stevens’ “The First Cut Is The Deepest” and Linda Ronstadt’s “You’re No Good.”
