One of North America’s longest-running music festivals will celebrate its 15th anniversary later this year, having sold close to a million Voodoo Experience tickets since its inception.

The New Orleans event first took place in 1999 in front of just 8000 people at Tad Gormley Stadium but has since grown in stature, hosting such high-profile names as Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young, R.E.M and Green Day alongside various local Louisiana musicians over the last 14 years.

The twice-nominated Pollstar Music Festival Of The Year will now make its debut at its new permanent home of City Park’s Festival Grounds on the weekend of November 1-3 with 15 major artists already confirmed to perform across its six stages.

Trent Reznor will not only headline the festival with his influential rock outfit, Nine Inch Nails, but will also appear with his new electronic side-project, How To Destroy Angels, while another giant of the 90s alternative scene, Pearl Jam, will also appear at the top of the bill.

Those with Voodoo Music & Arts Experience tickets will also get to see sets from Paramore, who recently scored their first ever US number one album, hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, responsible for the biggest single of 2013 so far, “Thrift Shop,” heartland rock quartet The Gaslight Anthem and Illinois punk-rockers Alkaline Trio.

Elsewhere, the burgeoning EDM scene will be represented by transatlantic chart-topper Calvin Harris, Dutch superstar DJ Afrojack, German techno maestro Boys Noize, electro musician Robert DeLong and Californian producer Bassnectar, among other. While emerging talents scheduled to play include hip-hop jazz collective Big Gigantic, New York indie-pop duo Cults and Conor Oberst’s new post-hardcore outfit, Desaparecidos.

Voodoo Experience tickets are not yet available to buy on TicketIQ but be sure to keep checking back for updates on what is now widely regarded as one of the lynchpins of the US festival scene.
