Ben Harper Announces West Coast Acoustic Tour

September 4, 2013

Having already scheduled a series of dates across four Southern cities this fall, one of America’s most eclectic singer-songwriters will also now showcase his unique blend of blues, folk, soul and reggae music along the West Coast following the release of Ben Harper tickets for a solo acoustic tour.

The 43-year-old, who last week headlined Fort Collins’ Bohemian Nights festival, will first embark on a short U.S. trek this September alongside harmonica virtuoso Charlie Musselwhite to promote their recent collaborative album, Get Up!

With a get-in price of $98 and average price of $146, fans can get their hands on Ben Harper tickets at TicketIQ for his opening show at Austin’s Stubbs BBQ on September 11 alongside the dates at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 14 ($77/$133) and Charlotte’s The Fillmore on September 15 ($81/$82).

Following a set at Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival and a month-long break, the two-time Grammy winner will then return to the stage in November for a repeat of last year’s An Acoustic Evening With Ben Harper format.

With an overall average price of $198, there are still Ben Harper tickets available for six of his seven unplugged shows on TicketIQ, with the November 12 gig at Seattle’s Mccaw Hall currently the lowest get-in price at $101 (average price $291) and the November 14 performance at San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall the cheapest average price at $147 (get-in price $102).

While Harper’s first batch of dates will inevitably focus on his US Top 30 current LP, the multi-instrumentalist has promised a trawl through his entire 20-year discography for the second. Fans should therefore expect to hear material spanning from his 1994 debut, Welcome To The Cruel World right up to 2011’s Give Till It’s Gone including several of the tracks he recorded with gospel outfit The Blind Boys Of Alabama and radio favorites “Steal My Kisses,” “Suzie Blue” and “Diamonds On The Inside.”
