Black Sabbath Reunion Tour Continues Into 2014

January 2, 2014

Still celebrating the first US number one album of their 45-year-career, one of the true legends of the heavy metal scene have now extended their long-awaited reunion tour into 2014 following the release of Black Sabbath tickets for twelve dates across the US and Canada.

The classic line-up of Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne proved they can still rock as hard as they used to in their early 70s heyday during their 70-date world tour last year and show no signs of slowing down after confirming that a second North American leg will take place this spring.

Bookended by Stateside performances at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on March 31 and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on April 26, tickets for which are available at a get-in/average price of $90/$284 and $70/$242 respectively, the upcoming tour will take in ten Canadian cities starting off at Halifax’s Metro Centre on Apr 3.

Black Sabbath tickets are on offer for eight of these shows including Montreal’s Centre Bell on Apr 7 ($104/$241), Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum on Apr 11 ($73/$268) and Saskatoon’s Credit Union Centre on Apr 18 ($50/$182), with the Apr 16 gig at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre currently both the lowest get-in and average price at $46/$142.

Fans with Black Sabbath tickets should expect to hear all the highlights from their seminal first four albums including their only US Hot 100 entries “Paranoid” and “Iron Man.” But keen to show that they’re not just a nostalgia act, last year’s tour also featured plenty of material from triumphant comeback 13, their first studio effort to feature Osbourne since 1978’s Never Say Die!
