UConn Women’s Basketball tickets Still Available as Team Seeks Undefeated Season

January 10, 2014

There’s arguably no team more dominant than the Connecticut Women’s Basketball team right now.  Sitting at #1 in every poll known on Earth, the Huskies are 16-0 and the closest game they’ve had was a 17 point victory against Maryland the third game of the season.  They’ve already taken down the second and third ranked (at the time) teams in the country, Duke and Stanford, by a combined 41 points, not to mention blowout victories over other ranked opponents such as California (won by 33) and Penn State (won by 19.)

While the outcome will always be in doubt in collegiate sports, the Uconn women have become as sure a bet as possible.  And with that, fans are eagerly grabbing Uconn Womens Basketball tickets to watch greatness live.  They may be the only women’s basketball team that commands a secondary market (though Duke, Tennessee, and Baylor all have fantastic programs.)

The big game left on the schedule is the February 9th tilt vs. Louisville, currently ranked fifth in the country.  The get-in price right now is $24, but the premium seats down in the lower level are at a much higher cost, reaching into the high $100’s.

The home finale is another matchup that currently has high ticket prices, with the get-in against Rutgers on March 1st currently at $31.  It will be a big evening for seniors Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley who will graduate after four illustrious seasons in Storrs.  Uconn basketball tickets are always a little pricier for the home season finale, and this will certainly be no exception with two primary contributors moving on.

Uconn has been the most dominant program in women’s basketball for the majority of the past two decades and they are heading towards yet another national championship in 2014.  Who knows how long this success will remain so make sure to visit Gampel or the XL Center and see the women now!
