Top College Basketball Tickets Of The Week (2/17)

February 18, 2014

Hitting the middle of February means college basketball teams are getting ready for the start of March. With most teams having just under 10 games left in the regular season, we’re going to start seeing some big conference matchups with conference rankings on the line.

1) 2/22/14 - Syracuse at Duke | Avg. Price: $1853 | Get-in Price: $999

Barely a few weeks ago these two teams played an overtime thriller and now they’re back, but this time at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The prices for Duke men’s basketball tickets is usually above average for home games, but tickets against Syracuse are astronomical. Duke basketball tickets prices have seen an increase of 13% over the past week and could continue to rise until Saturday night.

2) 2/22/14 - Texas at Kansas | Avg. Price: $441 | Get-in Price: $175

These aren’t Syracuse-Duke prices, but another Saturday night game at Allen Fieldhouse features some high prices for a Big 12 matchup. Kansas basketball tickets against Texas are easily the second most expensive of the weekend. Texas won by 12 the last time these two met on February 1.

3) 2/20/14 - Duke at North Carolina | Avg. Price: $227 | Get-in Price: $135

Usually Duke-North Carolina games are the cream of the college basketball ticket crop, but with North Carolina’s disappointing performance so far this season, many Tar Heel fans aren’t lining up to see Duke come in to the Dean Smith Center. North Carolina basketball tickets haven’t seen any movement in the past week even after the Tar Heels have won seven games in a row.

4) 2/22/14 - LSU at Kentucky | Avg. Price: $223 | Get-in Price: $58

LSU might not be the most difficult school remaining on Kentucky’s schedule, but that won’t stop Wildcats fans from flooding Rupp Arena for this SEC matchup. The price for Kentucky basketball tickets this week have gone up 38%, but the get-in price still remains a relatively low $58.

5) 2/22/14 - Wisconsin at Iowa | Avg. Price: $199 | Get-in Price: $113

Iowa is one of the surprise teams of the season and a matchup against Wisconsin has brought Iowa basketball tickets up 7% this week for this Saturday afternoon game. The game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will see the No. 15 team in the country host the No. 16 team in the country.

The excitement around college basketball will pick up in a month with the conference tournaments kicking off, but the quality of games for the last few weeks of the regular season is always stellar as well. Some of the biggest rivalries will be taking place in time frame as well, making college basketball tickets the most demanded in sports right now.
