Blackhawks Upcoming Home Stand Will be Crucial If They Are to Win the Central Division

March 18, 2014

Though they aren’t playing all that poorly, the Chicago Blackhawks continue to slide in the Western Conference standings.  The Colorado Avalanche have won seven out of their last ten, including two victories over the Blackhawks, to jump above Chicago in point on the season.  Luckily, the Blackhawks will be able to have some home cooking very shortly as after tonight’s game against Philadelphia, the Blackhawks will have four straight home games.  Here’s a preview if you’re looking to grab some Blackhawks tickets over the upcoming home stand.

Tomorrow night, Chicago will host the St. Louis Blues, winner of three straight and also the current Central Division leader with 101 points.  The average ticket price is currently $225 with a little less than 700 seats available on the secondary market.  The cheapest ticket you’ll be able to find right now is $86, which will ultimately dip a bit tomorrow as long as quantity doesn’t drastically disappear.

Following the Blues game, the Blackhawks will face three teams all on the outside looking in to the playoff chase in their respective conferences.  The Blackhawks will host the Carolina Hurricanes this Friday night (average ticket price is $268 with a get-in of $64) in what should be a game that the Blackhawks can win.  The canes currently sit at 67 points, nine behind the 8th place New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference.  After the Canes, Chicago will host the Nashville Predators on Sunday night, March 23rd.  The get-in price for that game is $81 with the average ticket price being $249.  Nashville is in last place in the central division, but has always been a difficult game for Chicago and the game will most likely be decided in the third and final period.

To close out the home stand, the Dallas Stars will visit for a Tuesday night tilt a week from today.  Dallas is just a few points out of the final playoff spot so they will be fighting for their lives.  This is the cheapest game of the bunch with an average ticket price of $219 and a get-in of only $65.
