Previewing This Month's Ultra Music Festival

March 25, 2014

(UPDATE 3/25) The biggest festival of the year is just three days away from beginning in downtown Miami. The Ultra Music Festival has grown into a massive festival with over 330,000 people attending over the three days it takes place and this year it released an App that lets you see and plan exactly who you want to see there. With over seven stages it promises to have one of the best lineups in America and has such prominent acts like Hardwell, Tiesto, Eric Prydz and Armin Van Buuren. Ultra Music Festival tickets are nearly sold out so if you plan on attending today is the last day to guarantee tickets being shipped to you on time.

....

The countdown to Ultra Music Festival in downtown Miami has officially begun.  Ultra has grown from modest beginnings to become the biggest and most influential EDM festival in North America today. Set to take place next weekend from Friday through Sunday at Klipsch Amphitheater in South Beach Ultra has an amazing lineup with over 250 acts ready to take the stage for an estimated crowd of over 330,000 ready to rage from the first drop to the last.

Ultra has turned into the festival that DJ’s strive to get on the lineup and play their newest and best tracks for a crowd that is eager to experience new music. For instance, last year we saw one of the biggest names in EDM, Avicii, go out on a limb and take a risk not many would have; debuting his brand new folk infused album on the Mainstage. As it turns out the gamble paid off tenfold when Avicii’s album True was released to great success and reaching #1 on Billboard's Dance Chart. This year the legend Eric Prydz is set to do something along the same lines as Avicii as he will be presenting his mysterious HOLO concept which has fans clamoring for details that remain under wraps.

Additionally this year marks the 10th anniversary of Carl Cox’s own personal Carl Cox & Friends tent which has been one of the highlights of the festival for the past decade and you know he plans on pulling out all the stops this year. Tickets for Ultra are becoming scarce as currently they’re on the verge of selling out of tickets with just a few days left before the concert kicks off next Friday. Ultra Music Festival tickets are going for an average price of $697 on the secondary market, an increase of over $200 from the face value of the tickets when including service fees. Ultra also sells single day passes for those not able to attend the entirety of the festival which are priced at $230

Similar to the Ultra Music Festival this year is Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival which both are on the same scale as Ultra and take place in April and June respectively. Coachella tickets are going for the astonishing $930 while on the other hand Electric Daisy Carnival tickets just recently sold out even though the festival is still more than three months away but you can find them for $715 on the secondary market. When its all said and done Ultra 2014 will be one of the best and most memorable of the year.
