Top Broadway Tickets Of The Week (4/28)

Broadway ticket averages are still rising after last week’s big spike. All five shows on the top five saw an increase with Cinderella seeing the biggest bump with a 55 percent increase. Hedwig and the Angry Inch rose to the top of the list of top Broadway tickets this week after officially opening last Tuesday, while Matilda dropped off the list in favor of the Broadway favorite, Wicked. Mainstays Motown and Kinky Boots round out the top five for this week.

5/3 Hedwig and the Angry Inch | Avg. Price: $545 | Get-in Price: $442

The Neil Patrick Harris starring show is in its first full week. Hedwig and the Angry Inch tickets have increased by ten percent for an average price of $545. The get-in price isn’t much cheaper; at $442 it’s over $250 more than the second most on this list.

5/3 Motown | Avg. Price: $452 | Get-in Price: $183

Motown the Musical tickets jumped up to second on this list after a 12 percent increase. The get-in price hasn’t increased, though; costing the same $183 it did last week when the show was fourth on this list.

4/30 Kinky Boots | Avg. Price: $420 | Get-in Price: $161

The Cyndi Lauper production has been a mainstay on this list after debuting last April. Kinky Boots tickets are up eight percent for an average price of $420 and a get-in price of $161.

5/4 Cinderella | Avg. Price: $359 | Get-in Price: $121

The adaptation of the classic Disney story saw prices rise to $359, on average, after a 55 percent price climb. Cinderella tickets have a get-in price of $121 showing the first Broadway production of the musical has been a hit over a year after its initial premiere.
