While their Mechanical Bull World Tour concludes its 20-date European leg later this week, Tennessee-based rockers Kings of Leon have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. The family band begins their highly-anticipated North American leg in late-July and is scheduled to play 33 dates through early-October. Kings of Leon has cemented themselves as a mainstay in rock music in recent years with mega hits that include “Use Somebody”, “Sex on Fire” and their chart-topper “Super Soaker” off their latest album Mechanical Bull.
Set to begin July 31, the North American Mechanical Bull Tour currently sees average Kings of Leon tickets go for $168.36. The band’s most expensive show will be at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on August 28, where the average price is $232.43, 38% above the tour average. The cheapest date will be at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Michigan on August 1. Average price for the early-August show is $86.25, 48.7% below the tour average.
As the band winds down its European residency, they will use the month of July to prepare for their upcoming stint on the roads of North America. Concertgoers planning to attend an upcoming show will see the band play roughly 25 songs, including recent hits “Wait for Me” and “Temple” as well as older songs like “Molly’s Chambers” and “Four Kicks”. The band has been consistent with opening song “Charmer” from their 2007 release Because of the Times and ending with arguably their biggest song “Sex on Fire” from 2008’s Only by the Night.
