Modest Mouse Add More 2014 Tour Dates

Modest Mouse fans have been eagerly waiting for a new album since 2007’s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. This May fans will have to do with seeing them on their latest tour for a glimpse of new material. Fans in the bands native pacific northwest will have to buy their Modest Mouse tickets for one of the two shows in Portland, Oregon (the first shows of the tour) on May 1st and 2nd at the Crystal Ballroom.They are supported on those dates by Survival Knife.

After that Modest Mouse heads south and plays Charlotte, North Carolina on May 9th at the Fillmore and on plays Atlanta, Georgia on May 10th at Shaky Knees Music Festival. After a few more dates in the southeast Modest Mouse plays Cooperstown, New York at Brewery Ommegang on May 24th and the Boston Calling Festival in Boston on May 25th. Both of those shows are with Brand New. That concludes the tour of the United States.

Fans in Canada can see Modest Mouse play on August 2nd in Montreal at the Osheaga Festival. The full list of tour dates can be found below.

Modest Mouse just recently amazed fans with a string of shows with emo legends Brand New including an appearance at Boston Calling. The two bands will play together again at the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, New York on August 9th. In July however Modest Mouse will go on a primarily Canada only mini-tour with Kevin Drew, the frontman of Canadian legends Broken Social Scene as support.

The two indie stars hit Alberta first with shows at MacEwan Hall in Calgary on July 22nd, the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton on July 24th, and the Conexus Art Centre in Regina on July 25th. The next day Modest Mouse and Kevin Drew play the O’Brien’s Event Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and then on the 28th they play in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Burton Cummings Theatre, The pair play their final show together on July 31st in London, Ontario at the London Music Hall. Modest Mouse will make an appearance at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal on August 2nd which is must for any fans of indie and alternative music.
