Phillip Phillips Joins The Script For South African Tour

September 30, 2014

Currently playing to thousands of fans with Phillip Phillips tickets for his own headlining tour, one of American Idol’s most successful male winners will also serve as support for The Script when the Irish trio visit South Africa early next year.

The season 11 winner, who last year opened for singer-songwriter John Mayer and Matchbox Twenty on their Born and Raised and North tours respectively, will join Danny O’Donoghue and co. for three dates as part of their No Sound Without Silence trek.

The two pop-rock artists will first take to the stage at Cape Town’s Grand Arena on February 4, 2015 before moving onto the ICC Durban Arena on Feb 6 and then Johannesburg’s Crocodile Creek on Feb 7.

Phillips, who scored his second consecutive US Top 10 album back in May with Beyond The Light, will first wrap up his North American fall tour, which will next head to Denver’s Paramount Theatre on October 1 – tickets for which are available on TicketIQ at a get-in price of $46 – and finish up at Phoenix’s Celebrity Theatre on December 7 ($217).

Fans with Phillip Phillips tickets should look forward to recent hits “Raging Fire” and “Unpack Your Heart,” as well as all the highlights from his debut, The World From The Side Of The Moon, including his coronation single, “Home.”

The Script will play their only confirmed North American show this year on Oct 1 when they take their rousing sound to New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, with tickets up for grabs on TicketIQ from $66.

Alongside material from the band’s fourth album, which hits stores this week, those with The Script tickets should also expect to hear their breakthrough single, “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” US Top 40 entries “Breakeven,” “Nothing” and “For The First Time,” and will.i.am collaboration, “Hall of Fame.”
