Top 5 Indie/Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (12/8)

This week’s top shows feature New York City’s Phantogram stopping in Calgary at Flame’s Central while Augustana from the west coast play Seattle on the 13th. Pop-punk band Relient K will stop at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee on the 12th while Say Anything and Saves the Day anniversary co-headlining tour will hit The Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah on the 13th. Recently reunited American Football will be playing on the 12th at the Fillmore in San Francisco.

 

12/11 Phantogram at Flames Central - Limited Tickets Available

Phantogram, the duo from New York City’s Greenwich Village, will be in Canada this week and will play Flames Central in Calgary, Alberta. The band released their second album Voices back in February to much acclaim. Phantogram will be touring Canada all week with a show at the Garrick Centre in Winnipeg on the 9th, Louis’ Pub in Saskatoon, and the Starlite Room in Edmonton on the 12th.

 

12/13 Augustana at Neumos - Limited Tickets Available

Rock band and California natives Augustana are on tour and are playing the Neumos in Seattle, Washington on the 13th. The band put out Life Imitating Life earlier this year and recently released a video for their single “Ash and Ember”. Augustana are making their way up the west coast with a show on the 9th at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, The Fillmore in San Francisco on the 10th, and the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, Oregon on the 12th.

 

12/12 Relient K at the Cannery Ballroom - Limited Tickets Available

Notable Christian pop-punk veterans Relient K will be at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee on this week on the 12th. The band put out their seventh studio album last year entitled Collapsable Lung. This tour however is for their tenth anniversary of their breakthrough album Mmhmm. For this tour former longtime drummer Dave Douglas will play with Relient K on these shows. Fans can expect to hear hit singles from Mmhmm “Be My Escape” and “Who I am Hates Who I’ve Been”.

 

12/13 Say Anything & Saves the Day at The Complex - Limited Tickets Available

The power couple co-headlining tour of Say Anything and Saves the Day head to The Complex in Salt Lake City, Utah. This tour has Say Anything celebrating the 10th anniversary of ...Is a Real Boy while Saves the Day is celebrating the 15th year anniversary of  their seminal second album Through Being Cool. The bands are joined with openers Reggie and the Full Effect. Also this week on the 10th the tour stops in St. Louis, Missouri at the Pageant, the Granada in Lawrence, Kansas on the 11th, and the Summit Music Hall in Denver, Colorado on the 12th.

 

12/12 American Football at the Fillmore San Francisco  - Average Ticket Price: $38, Get-in Price: $16

Emo darlings American Football reunited this year after breaking up 15 years ago. After a string of very successful shows in New York City they will play this week on the 12th at the Fillmore in San Francisco. With the average ticket price at only $38 and get-in prices as low as $16, this is a real value for this show. The band will also play the Fillmore on the 11th and the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on the 13th and the 14th.
