This week in metal and rock kicks off with the co-headlining Seether and Papa Roach tour hitting the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On the 14th the Black Label Society tour comes to the Webster Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut. On January 16th Gregg Allman will be at Harrah’s Cherokee Resort Events Center in Cherokee, North Carolina. Also on the 16th Extreme will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Finally on the 17th Styx will be playing at Ovations Live in Chandler, Arizona.

 

1/16 Gregg Allman - Harrah’s Cherokee Resort Events Center Get-in: $36

Gregg Allman will be at the Harrah’s Cherokee Resorts Events Center this week on the 16th in Cherokee, North Carolina. Fans will be able to see this legendary rock star for only $36. Though the singer hasn’t released new material since 2011’s Low Country Blues fans will be coming out in droves to see Allman croon a few tunes. Gregg Allman will also be in his native Nashville, Tennessee on the 14th at the Ryman Theatre.

 

1/17 Styx at Ovations Live! Avg. Ticket Price $228.58 Get-in: $129

Progressive rock band Styx will be at Ovations Live! at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Arizona this week on the 17th. The average ticket price for this show is $228.58 though the lowest get-in price is $129. It’s been ten years since Styx’s last album Big Bang Theory though there is a new album in the works for this year. Fans should look out for new material while still hearing the old classics like “Come Sail Away” and “Mr. Robotto”.

 

1/13 Seether & Papa Roach at the Electric Factory Avg. Ticket Price $164.12 Get-in $50

The co-headlining tour of Seether and Papa Roach is hitting the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this week on the 13th. Tickets for this show go for an average of $164.12 though fans will be able to find tickets for as cheap as $50. Seether put out Isolate and Medicate last year while Papa Roach will put out F.E.A.R. early this year. After this show the tour heads to the Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland on the 14th, The Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut on the 15th, and the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, New Jersey on the 17th.

 

1/14 Black Label Society, Hatebreed, & Butcher Babies at Webster Theater

Black Label Society is still on their brutal tour with Hatebreed and Butcher Babies with a show this week at the Webster Theater in Hartford, Connecticut. Black Label Society put out Catacombs of the Black Vatican in 2014 while Hatebreed and Butcher Babies put out new records in 2013. Hatebreed will be returning to their home state for this show for the nearby New Haven locals. The tour then heads to Syracuse, New York on the 15th with a show at the F-Shed.

 

1/16 Extreme at the Mohegan Sun Arena Avg. Ticket Price $52 Get-in: $20

Extreme who most famously put out acoustic ballad “More Than Words” in 1991 is on tour this week with a show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on the 16th. The band led by Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt Extreme is touring in support of the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album Pornograffiti. The tour continues this week on the 17th with a show at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine and on the 18th at the Chance Theatre in Poughkeepsie, New York.
