The 2014 Baylor Bears finished with an 11-2 record, which marked their second straight season of double digit victories. Baylor’s offense averaged 48.2 points per game, which was the highest mark in college football. Baylor’s offense was led by its senior quarterback, Bryce Petty and wide receivers, Corey Coleman and KD Cannon. Petty threw for 3,855 yards and 29 touchdowns while Coleman and Cannon combined for 19 touchdown grabs. Sophomore running back, Shock Linwood rushed for 1,252 yards and 16 touchdowns on 251 carries. Despite not earning a spot in the College Football Playoff, Baylor earned a spot in the Cotton Bowl against the Michigan State Spartans. The Cotton Bowl was played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, so Baylor had an obvious home field advantage. Michigan State scored 21 unanswered points during the fourth quarter to shock Baylor, 42-41. Petty threw for 550 yards and three touchdowns in the loss, but Baylor’s defense was unable to stop running back, Jeremy Langford, who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns.

Entering the 2015 season, Baylor will return 18 of its starters, six of which were All-Conference selections. Baylor’s offensive and defensive lines are loaded with talent. Defensive end, Shawn Oakman decided to return for his senior season, which gives the defense a major boost. Sophomore quarterback, Seth Russell will take over for Petty. In limited action, Russell threw for 804 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Russell will benefit from having both Coleman and Cannon at his disposal. Linwood will also keep pressure off of Russell by establishing a physical rushing attack. Without the aid of a Big-12 Championship game or a tough non-conference schedule, Baylor may need to run the table in order to punch its ticket in the College Football Playoff. Baylor’s season may come down to a November 27th meeting in Fort Worth.

The current average price for 2015 Baylor football tickets is $181.68. The most expensive game on will come on November 14 against the Oklahoma Sooners. The average price for the game is $272.62 with a get-in price of $93.
