Top Indie And Alternative Concert Tickets of the Week (2/23)

This week in indie and alternative concerts feature an array of artists both from the last two years and from the last twenty years. On February 23rd funk rock band 311 will be at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana. On the 24th Bush’s tour with Theory of a Deadman will stop at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Two great shows are happening on the 27th and both will also be in New York City. First riot grrrl pioneers Sleater-Kinney will be at Terminal 5 and the young pop band Echosmith play Webster Hall. Finally on the 28th Irish folk singer Hozier will play the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak Michigan.

2/28 Hozier at the Royal Oak Music Theatre - Avg. Ticket Price $195.75 | Get-in: $107

Popular Irish folk finger Hozier will be at the Royal Oak Music Theatre this week on the 28th in Royal Oak, Michigan. This show has an average ticket price of $195.75 though fans will be able to find tickets for as low as $107. The singer who skyrocketed to fame with his single, “Take Me to Church”, which was included on his self-titled debut record from 2014. Hozier will be stopping in the midwest throughout the week including a show in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre on the 25th.

 

2/24 Bush & Theory of a Deadman at the Best Buy Theater - Avg. Ticket Price $187.93 | Get-in: $36

Alternative rock bands Bush and Theory of a Deadman will stop at the Best Buy Theater this week on the 24th in New York City. The show has an average ticket price of $187.93 and a lowest get-in price of only $36. Both of these bands had new records out last year with Bush releasing Man on the Run and Theory of a Deadman putting out Savages. For fans in NYC that can not make it to this show the following show on the 25th at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York is only 30 miles away.

 

2/23 311 at the House of Blues New Orleans - Avg. Ticket Price $85.50 | Get-in: $67

311 the funk-rock band who made their name in 90’s and early 2000’s will be at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana this week on the 23rd. The average ticket price for the show is set at $85.50 and the lowest get-in price if $67. The band put out their eleventh album Stereolithic last year to much fanfare and are embarking on a cruise this week in Miami, Florida on the 24th where the band will play on a party cruise for their fans with other bands like Pepper.

 

2/27 Sleater-Kinney at Terminal 5 - Avg. Ticket Price $84.56 | Get-in: $56

Punk trio Sleater-Kinney will be at Terminal 5 in New York City this week on the 26th & 27th. The show on the 27th has an average ticket price of $84.56 and a lowest get-in price of $56. This much anticipated show is part of the band’s first set in NYC in nearly a decade. Sleater-Kinney released No Cities to Love last month and is the band’s first since 2005’s The Woods.

2/27 Echosmith  at Webster Hall - Avg. Ticket Price $82.12 | Get-in: $25

Echomith the Los Angeles band of four siblings will be in New York City this week on the 27th with a show at Webster Hall. The average ticket price for the show is $82.12 and the lowest get-in price is $25. The band soared to fame with the success of their hit single “Cool Kids” and the re-release of their 2013 debut Talking Dreams. The indie-pop band will be in Philadelphia on the 28th at the Theatre of the Living Arts and will also return to NYC on June 7th for the Governors Ball Music Festival.
