Manny Pacquiao Uses Tickets For Mayweather Fight To Help Purchase New House

March 31, 2015

Tickets for the bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather have been in high demand. So much so, they’re now being used as currency. Manny Pacquiao recently found himself in a bidding war for a new house. Like many of his fights, Pacquiao won this war, but by unusual means. Pacquiao reportedly threw in four tickets to his May 2 fight on top of a $12.5 million price tag to secure the home.

When it comes down to total cost, the price of tickets doesn’t add much to an eight figure amount. However, Pacquiao vs Mayweather tickets will be so difficult to come by, the ability to attain them is almost worth more than the ticket itself. On the secondary market, tickets are currently listed with an average price of $7592.49 with a get-in price of $4425. At face value, the cheapest ticket is expected to be $1,500.

There will be a limited on sale for the general public, expected to be later this week. However, less than 1,000 tickets are expected to be made available during the on sale time. Many will try, but few will succeed in getting their hands on tickets to the Fight of the Century. It may be easier trying to sell a $12.5 million house.
