Shaq to Be Inducted Into Magic Hall of Fame Prior to March 27 Game Against Pistons

March 12, 2015

For four seasons in the mid-90s, Shaquille O’Neal dominated the boards and was a perennial All-Star in Orlando. The city where the future Hall of Famer got his start will now induct the illustrious big-man into its own Hall of Fame later this month. Prior to the Magic’s home game against the Pistons on March 27, Shaq will see his #32 jersey rise into the Amway Center’s rafters permanently. A ceremony will also be held during halftime.

O’Neal will become the third player to be enshrined in the Magic Hall of Fame.  Last season, Pat Williams and Nick Anderson received the prestigious honor in the franchise’s inaugural class. In his Orlando playing days from 1992-96, Shaq was a tour de force in the NBA, claiming All-Star honors in each of his four seasons and the Rookie of the Year Award in 1992.

Fans hoping to attend the halftime ceremony will find considerably cheap ticket prices on the secondary market. The average price for Magic vs Pistons tickets on TicketIQ is $161.37, but get-in price starts at just $10. In fact, that’s the lowest get-in price among all nine remaining home games on the Magic schedule this season.
