Jethro Tull frontman Ian Anderson will be on the road this fall. The November leg of dates will be in support his Jethro Tull rock opera, which is inspired by the English agricultural inventor for whom the band’s name derives from.

Anderson will tap on bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O’Hara, guitarist Florian Opahle and drummer Scott Hammond to round out his band. The tour kicks off onNovember 1 at the Chicago Theatre and will play eight total dates through the middle of the month, concluding at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center on November 11. Several special “virtual” guests will also appear at each date via telescreen.

Among other cities Anderson and his band will hit include Detroit, Boston and Philadelphia. Shows are scheduled at the Fox Theatre, CITI Performing Arts Center and Academy of Music in those respective cities. The show will feature many Jethro Tull songs from the band's exhaustive discography, and several of them will be rewritten to better tell the tale of Tull's life in a futuristic mindset.
