Mumford & Sons Add Second NYC Show at Le Poisson Rouge Tonight

April 7, 2015

(UPDATE 4/7/15) Ahead of their appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, Mumford & Sons are making the most of their week-long stay in Manhattan. The band announced a surprise day-of gig at Le Poisson Rouge yesterday morning which sold out in minutes. The quartet struck again Tuesday morning, announcing a second show at the NYC venue scheduled for tonight.

Don't expect to scoop up tickets easily, however. Just like yesterday, tickets sold out quickly in the 700-cap venue. The band is expected to play a similar setlist tonight, which premiered several songs from their upcoming release Wilder Mind. Their third studio album is slated to be released May 4 via Island Records.

(4/6/15) Mumford & Sons have announced a surprise show at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City tonight. The band’s Gentlemen of the Road festival will hit the NYC area again in June, but an intimate performance is scheduled prior to the summer return.

The quartet is playing the Big Apple in support of their forthcoming release Wilder Mind, which is set to be released on May 4. Despite just being announced earlier this morning, tickets for tonight’s surprise gig sold out in just minutes.

Mumford & Sons festival tour begins at the Seaside Heights stopover in New Jersey on June 5. It continues through August 30, when the band hits the Leeds Festival in the U.K.
