Packers Most Expensive, Rams Least Expensive Home Opponents On 2015 Vikings Schedule

April 22, 2015

The Minnesota Vikings look primed to take a step towards a playoff berth, but the uncertainty surrounding Adrian Peterson may hold them back. Peterson has reportedly not been open to play for Minnesota and will attempt to force a trade elsewhere. Having Peterson in fold will be a big boon to Minnesota’s playoff aspirations, though the team showed plenty signs of optimism under rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. With the last season for home games to be played at TCF Bank Stadium, many Vikings tickets will be moderately priced on the secondary market. However, there will be some highly demanded games.

Entering the 2015 season, Minnesota’s most expensive home game will be its Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers. The get-in price for Vikings vs Packers tickets is currently $108, the only Vikings game with a get-in price above $100. Green Bay is clearly the class of the NFC North division, but Minnesota is slowly building a young core that is ready to compete. There is some obvious concern regarding the status of Adrian Peterson. With Peterson in fold, Minnesota has the makings of a Top-10 offense. Peterson has also made a career of dismantling Green Bay’s defense. With or without Peterson, expect an emotional battle between Green Bay and Minnesota.

The least expensive home game on the Vikings schedule will be in Week 9 against the St. Louis Rams. Vikings vs Rams tickets have a get-in price of $47.

Minnesota did not make many moves during the offseason. Minnesota did cut Greg Jennings and will attempt to replace him with Mike Wallace. Minnesota surrendered a late-round pick for Wallace’s services. Last season, Wallace struggled as a member of the Miami Dolphins and was ultimately traded away. Teddy Bridgewater throws one of the best deep balls in the NFL and with Norv Turner calling the plays, fans can expect Wallace to get loose for big plays. After acquiring Wallace, Minnesota satisfied its need for a big play wide receiver. Head coach Mike Zimmer likes to draft coverage players and may select Trae Waynes with the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
