After catching Willie Mays on baseball’s all-time career home run list, Alex Rodriguez is now locked in on securing home run No. 661, which would give him sole possession of fourth place. From there, A-Rod will be looking to catch up to another one of Major League Baseball’s immortal legends, Babe Ruth, in third, although that would take him some time, needing to get to 714.

Before he gets there, he still has to slug that decisive 661st homer, and that very well could come in the Yankees’ next set of home games when they begin a four-game series with the division rival Baltimore Orioles on Thursday.

With Baltimore serving as the reigning American League East champions, and vying for New York’s top spot in the division at the moment, these games could prove to part of an important series relative to the usual baseball action featured in May. As a result, it looks like there will be massive attendance for each of the four contests, taking in one of the AL’s most competitive rivalries.

Contrary to what some fans may believe believe, they can find better tickets prices going directly through the official source on Yankees.com, rather than in the secondary market. For instance, in the series finale on Sunday, a fan could purchase a section 406, row 1 seat for just $22, but on the secondary market, similar seating in section 406, row 2 is nearly twice the price at $41.

The same could be said for better quality seats as well, with Yankees.com having section 316, row 3 tickets for Saturday’s game listed at $80, while section, 316, row 1 on the secondary market is commanding $91. Additionally, they have section 325, row 2 for the series opener for $80, and on the secondary market, tickets for section 325, row 1 are being sold for $86. Thus, it might be in one’s best interest to do their ticket exploring through the Yankees themselves in addition to the usual secondary market price shopping, not just for those wanting to see Rodriguez’s historic home run, but through all games this season.
