Miami Most Expensive, Philadelphia Least Expensive Dates on Charlie Wilson’s Upcoming ‘Forever Charlie’ Tour

(UPDATE 5/19/15) Influential R&B artist Charlie Wilson will begin the second leg of his “Forever Charlie” Tour next month. The tour, which also features support from Kem & Joe, will run between May 28 and September 19 and make 19 stops along the way. The singer is drawing quite a demand for tickets on the secondary market as well, as Charlie Wilson tickets on TicketIQ currently average at $133.85 across his four-month road stint.

Wilson makes his most expensive stop on June 19 at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The show owns a secondary average of $167.25, 24.9% above tour average, and the cheapest available ticket is priced at $83. Shows at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on June 11 and Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie on May 28 also sees tickets average above $150, with the Bankers Life stop averaging at $159.32 and Verizon Theatre at $155.22.

Conversely, Wilson’s cheapest date will be at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia on June 7. Tickets see a median price of $53.97, 59.6% below tour average, and get-in price starts at $42. Two other shows at Chastain Park Amphitheatre and Scottrade Center average below $100 on the secondary market. The Atlanta-based show owns a ticket average of $66.23 while the St. Louis gig sees a median ticket price of $96.66. Get-in price for those shows starts at $50 and $70, respectively.

Charlie Wilson Extends ‘Forever’ Tour

(4/2/15) Charlie Wilson will be on the road a little longer this spring. The Grammy nominated artist has announced the second North American leg of his Forever Charlie Tour. He’ll bring Kem and Joe along for the 16-show stint through May and June.

The leg begins at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas on May 28th and will hit exclusively hit U.S. venues through June 21st, when it wraps at the Columbus Civic Center in Georgia. Notable stops along the way include shows at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mann Center in Philadelphia, DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee and American Airlines Arena in Miami.

Wilson announced the extension of his tour on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday. General public on sale for all dates excluding the Indianapolis show is scheduled for Friday, April 17th. The June 11th stop at Bankers Life Fieldhouse will see tickets go on sale Monday, April 6th.

The nine-time Grammy nominee has been making the rounds of television shows to support the tour in recent weeks. Prior to his stop on Ellen’s show, Wilson stopped and talked with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel and appeared at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend. He’ll sit down with Steve Harvey on April 10th.
