June's Best Remaining Deals On Discounted Broadway Tickets

While Broadway tickets can be expensive, especially on the secondary market, there is some good news for Broadway fans. They can catch some of their favorite musicals and plays over the next fews weeks at some of the best discounted prices for tickets on the secondary market.  Some of the Broadway shows featured include “The King and I” and “The Audience,” which have some very high June ticket prices.  Here’s a breakdown of the five best discounted Broadway ticket deals for some of the biggest shows compared to their June average on the secondary market.

6/21/15 - Book of Mormon | Avg. Price: $194.59 | Month Avg: $259.93

A winner of nine 2011 Tony Awards and considered one of the funniest musicals of all time, “The Book of Mormon” will have great discounted tickets for this Sunday’s showing at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. The average price of Book of Mormon tickets is $194.59 on the secondary market for the show, 25% below the monthly average of June for tickets which is $259.93.

6/18/15 – The King and I | Avg. Price: $394.98 | Month Avg: $493.78

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The King and I” will have tickets for this Thursday’s showing at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at 20% below the average price of June which is $493.78.  Tickets for Thursday’s show have an average price of $394.98 on the secondary market. The King and I has been among the most demanded tickets since it returned to Broadway and this performance will be the only one in June with an average below $400.

6/27/15 – Curious Incident of a Dog in the Night-Time | Avg. Price: $250.01 | Month Avg: 293.47

“The Curious Incident” has seen tickets on average of $293.47 for the month of June and discounted tickets will be available for the June 27th showing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.  Curious Incident tickets for the June 27th show have an average price of $250.01 on the secondary market, 14% below the June average for the show on the secondary market.

6/24/15 – The Audience | Avg. Price: $372.63 | Month Avg: $413.89

The new Broadway production “The Audience” has a June average price of $413.89. The show is scheduled to close at the end of the month. That, along with Helen Mirren’s Tony win are driving up prices. The Audience tickets for the June 24 showing at the Schoenfeld Theatre are 9% below the monthly average of June at a price of $372.63 on the secondary market.

6/20/15 – Finding Neverland | Avg. Price: $164.94 | Month Avg: $178.31

“Finding Neverland” is a new musical that debuted at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre this past April and the show will have some discounted tickets on the secondary market for this Saturday’s showing on June 20. The average price of Finding Neverland tickets is $164.94, a 7% decrease from the monthly average of June which is $178.31.
