Before that happens, Kansas will take on Team Canada for two exhibition games at the Sprint Center on June 23 and 26.

Even as the World University Games are played by college players, there will not be NCAA rules during the basketball games. Instead, the games will be played under FIBA rules, which uses four 10-minute quarters and a 24-second shot clock.

Kansas basketball will resume play for the 2015-16 season at Allen Fieldhouse on November 4. The Jayhawks will host Pittsburg State, then Fort Hays State on November 10 and Northern Colorado on November 13. The Jayhawks will then head to Chicago to take on the Michigan State Spartans in the Champions Classic, which also includes a matchup between Kentucky and Duke.
