Morrissey Averaging $125 Ticket on Resale Market for Remaining Summer Shows

(UPDATE 6/22/15) Morrissey brought his A-game to this year’s Firefly Festival this past weekend, performing an array of classics from his exhaustive catalogue of both Smiths and solo tunes. The iconic singer has 16 more dates remaining on his summer tour, which continues through the end of August. And while there’s no telling if Moz will honor each gig, he is still generating a considerable demand for tickets on the secondary market. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Morrissey tickets along his summer run is $124.84.

He’ll play his most expensive show on June 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Morrissey tickets in New York City currently own a secondary average of $145.91 and get-in price starts at $54. The show will be a co-headlining gig which will also feature a performance from Blondie. Other top-priced shows include July 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre ($114.70/avg.), June 29 at Akron Civic Theatre ($110.74) and July 2 at Grand Ole Opry House ($93.33/avg.).

A Look at the Average Morrissey Setlist For His 2015 Summer Tour

(UPDATE 6/16/15) There’s no telling just how far Morrissey will go on his current North American tour run. The iconic singer has been weathered by sickness and agitation in the past, often canceling his touring plans and upsetting loyal fans across the continent in the process. All is well thus far, however, and the 56-year-old is slated to play 17 more shows through the end of August.

According to TicketIQ, the average price for Morrissey tickets is $136.82 on the secondary market. He’ll play his most expensive gig on June 27 at Madison Square Garden with Blondie, where tickets average at $159.27 and the cheapest available ticket is listed for $50. His cheapest tour date comes on June 30 at Aronoff Center in Cincinnati. That show owns a secondary ticket average of $75.45 and get-in price starts at $70.

Morrissey Begins North American Tour Next Week, Tickets Averaging at $143 on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 6/1/15) Believe it or not, Morrissey will embark on a full-fledged North American tour next week, and the former Smiths frontman is bringing steep ticket prices to the secondary market. The 56-year-old crooner has been plagued with health issues on his last several excursions across the U.S. and Canada, forcing him to cancel an abundance of shows and upsetting his paying fans. However, 2015 is a new year, and he’ll hope to perform across the continent in full health along his six-week run between June and July.

According to TicketIQ, the average price for Morrissey tickets on the secondary market is $142.88 over his 18 upcoming shows. He’ll play his most expensive gig on June 15 at Carolina Theatre in Durham. That show sees a secondary ticket average 248.82, 74.1% above tour average, and the cheapest ticket available is priced at $80. No other shows exceed the $200 ticket average on the secondary market.

Conversely, Morrissey’s cheapest gig comes on July 23 at McMenamins Historic Edgefield Amphitheater in Oregon. Tickets average at $92.14 and get-in price starts at $65. AJune 30 show at Aronoff Center in Cincinnati is the only other show averaging below $100, with tickets seeing a median price of $94.93 and $71 get-in price.

Morrissey’s North American tour will continue through July 25, when it ultimately wraps at San Jose State University Events Center in California.

Morrissey Reveals New U.S. Tour Dates

(4/6/15) Tread lightly, Morrissey has announced new tour dates. Health issues barred the iconic singer from completing his last two North American runs, but a third adventure stateside will aim to shake the demons once and for all.

The 18-city tour is slated to begin on June 11th at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. It will wind around the U.S. through July 25 and ultimately wrap at the San Jose Event Center in California. The lone Golden State show will also feature a performance from Amanda Palmer. Blondie will join the “Suedehead” singer for a June 27th show at Madison Square Garden.

Other notable stops on the six-week run include an appearance at the Firefly Music Festival in Delaware and shows at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, Detroit’s Masonic Temple, Chicago’s Civic Opera House and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Morrissey will hit the road in support of his latest release, World Peace Is None Of Your Business, which was released in July of 2014. Back in December, he revealed that he had started working on his forthcoming record. No tentative release date has been announced just yet, however.
