June 23, 2015

(UPDATE 6/23/15) The 2015 BET Experience will kick off at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Thursday. The concert series will run over three days and feature some of rap and hip-hop’s most notable performers, including Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj and Ne-Yo. Perhaps the biggest artist to take the stage over the three-day affair will be N.W.A., who will reunite in promotion of the group’s upcoming biopic “Straight Outta Compton”.

Increasing demand for tickets to see the group reunite has led to rising ticket prices on the secondary market. That marks a 19.2% boost since last Wednesday, when tickets averaged at $187.78 on the secondary market. The cheapest available ticket to Saturday’s event is currently $89.

N.W.A.’s reunion hasn’t elicited the most expensive ticket average, however. Comedian Kevin Hart’s headlining gig on Thursday is still the top-priced event, with tickets averaging at $228.86 on the secondary market. The cheapest ticket to the opening night is $86. Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo and Rae Sremmurd will headline the second night on Friday. Tickets for that night currently average at $174.81 and get-in price starts at $37.
