Previewing Secondary Market Ticket Prices on Kenny Chesney’s Big Revival Tour

(3/25/15) Kenny Chesney begins his Big Revival Tour tomorrow, and the “American Kids” singer is bringing some of country music’s biggest performers with him. The 53-show run will include Eric Church, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert as co-headliners on select dates while Jake Owen, Brantley Gilbert, Cole Swindell and Chase Rice set to open select shows. With the tour slated to be one of the biggest of the summer, secondary market ticket prices have seemed to agree.

The average price for Kenny Chesney tickets on TicketIQ over his five-month road stint is $180.16. Chesney will hit a slew of stadiums across the continent, which serves as his most expensive stops of tour. A CenturyLink Field show in Seattle on June 27 currently owns a secondary average of $380.06, 110% above tour average, and the get-in price starts at $67. A trip to Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on June 20 is his second top-priced gig, with tickets averaging at $356.39 and the cheapest ticket listed for $72.

Chesney’s exorbitant ticket prices are largely due to his joint stadium stops with Church, Aldean and Lambert. With three of country’s most coveted acts taking the same stage, an overwhelming ticket demand exists to attend the tour. In fact, nine of the tour’s 20 stadium shows will see tickets average over $200 on the secondary market. That includes shows at Ford Field, Lincoln Financial Field, Soldier Field, Ohio Stadium, Gillette Stadium, Sports Authority Field, Lambeau and CenturyLink Field.

On the other side of the monetary spectrum, the cheapest dates of the Big Revival Tour will be played at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. The first show of tour will be held at the Bridgestone Arena on March 26. Tickets to that show average at $71.83 on the secondary market, 60.1% below tour average, and the get-in price starts at just $12. An April 16 show in North Carolina averages at $102.28 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $33. The low ticket cost is sensible, however. Neither of the two early tour dates feature co-headlining performances.

Jason Aldean will join Chesney for 12 stadium shows while Church joins for three and Lambert for one at Soldier Field. The tour officially wraps at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on August 29.
