July 1, 2015

2015 has been an exciting year for pop rockers Maroon 5, who have toured across the world in support of V, their most recent studio release. The fun hasn’t ended yet, either – last week the band announced two more shows slated to take place in August in Atlantic City and Hershey, Pennsylvania. With general on-sale beginning last Friday, tickets are beginning to flood the secondary market for the upcoming gigs.

The band will play its first summer show on August 15 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Maroon 5 Hersheypark tickets is currently $188.70. The cheapest available ticket is listed for $55. Nick Jonas and Matt McAndrew will accompany the “Animals” creators at both gigs in August. Following their stint in the Northeast, Adam LeVine and Co. will travel to Asia and Oceania for a bulk of shows in September and October. 10 dates are scheduled in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland over the month-long international run.

V debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after being released in 2014. It moved 164,000 copies in its first week and has sold more than 620,000 copies in the U.S. alone. Maroon 5 is no stranger to big ticket prices; its winter and spring tour  across North America earlier this year generated massive ticket demand on the resale market, averaging a $313.50 ticket over its 30-show run between February and April.
