With Six More R40 Live Dates Remaining, Rush Tickets Exceeding $300 Average on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 7/21/15) Six more shows remain for prog rock icons Rush, whose 40th Anniversary Tour continues in the U.S. over the next two weeks. The band won’t go out without a bang, however, as tickets are still posting big prices on the secondary market. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for Rush tickets over the final six stops is now $305.36.

Just under 300 tickets are still available for Geddy Lee and Co.’s stop at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon tonight. Rush Portland tickets now own a secondary average of $184.89 and the cheapest available ticket is listed for $36. Only a July 30 show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in California will be cheaper on average at $182.94. Get-in price for that show is $53.

Rush’s top-priced remaining show comes on Thursday at the SAP Center in San Jose. Rush San Jose tickets now average $541.38 and get-in price is $110. The band’s final stop at The Forum in Los Angeles on August 1 will be the second most expensive show, with tickets owning an average price of $402.29 and get-in price starting at $129.

With 12 Dates Remaining, Rush Tickets for 40th Anniversary Tour Still Averaging Above $200 on Resale Market

(UPDATE 7/6/15Twelve more dates remain on Rush’s R40 Live Tour, which continues its U.S. and Canadian run through the beginning of next month. Prices have remained high on the secondary market as well, with tickets still averaging above $200 across its remaining dates.

According to TicketIQ, the average price for Rush tickets is $215.14 on the secondary market. The iconic prog rock group will play its most expensive remaining show on July 19 at Key Arena in Seattle. The average secondary price for Rush Seattle tickets is $498.06 and the get-in price starts at $173. Other top-priced shows include July 23 at SAP Center in San Jose ($352.27 avg./$147 get-in), August 1 at The Forum in Los Angeles ($347.86 avg./$94 get-in) and July 11 Pepsi Center in Denver ($340.43 avg./$119 get-in).

Rush’s cheapest remaining gig will be held on July 15 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. That show owns a secondary ticket average of $88.08 and a get-in price of just $7. Two days later the band will play its second cheapest show at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, where tickets average at $128.68 and get-in price is $9. Those two shows will be the only gigs with a ticket average below $200. The third least expensive show comes on July 9 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, where tickets average at $219.13 and the get-in price is $73.

Rush Tickets Still Averaging Above $200 on Resale Market for Remaining R40 Live Tour Dates

(UPDATE 6/29/15) 13 North American dates remain on Rush’s R40 Live Tour, which continues in the U.S. and Canada through August 1. Tickets won’t be cheap if searching the secondary market, as the average secondary price for Rush tickets over the final month of tour is $207.08.

 

The band makes its most expensive stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City tonight, where the average price for Rush MSG tickets is $831.44 on the resale market. The cheapest available ticket to tonight’s show is $315. Other top-priced shows include July 19 at Key Arena in Seattle ($581.01 avg./$143 get-in), August 1 at The Forum in Los Angeles ($319.13 avg./$94 get-in) and July 23 at SAP Center in San Jose ($311.52 avg./$155 get-in).

 

The Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary welcomes Rush’s cheapest show on July 15. That show owns a secondary ticket average of $96.18 and the get-in price is just $8. It will be the only remaining show that has a ticket average below $100 on the resale market.

Rush Invades the Northeast This Week, Tickets Nearing $400 Average on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 6/22/15) Rush will bring its R40 Live Tour to the Northeast this week. The iconic prog rockers are slated to play Boston’s TD Garden, Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center and New Jersey’s Prudential Center over the next five days. Between the three shows, the average price for Rush tickets is $383.66 on the secondary market.

Geddy Lee and Co. will play their top-priced gig of the week on Saturday at Prudential Center. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $393.83 and the get-in price, or cheapest available ticket, is $172. The band’s Tuesday night stop at TD Garden has an average ticket price of $389.78 and get-in price is $130. Though the cheapest of the three, the Wells Fargo Center show on Thursday owns a $323.47 ticket average and $194 get-in price.

Following its stop in Newark Saturday night, the R40 Live Tour heads to Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan for a show next Monday. Rush Madison Square Garden tickets currently average at $345.95 and get-in price is $147.

(UPDATE 6/16/15) Rush is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary with a massive tour through North America. The iconic prog rockers have 19 shows remaining through the beginning of August, and the average price for Rush tickets is $236.28 on the secondary market.

With just under seven weeks remaining on the U.S. and Canadian run, Rush makes its most expensive stop at Madison Square Garden on June 29. According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for MSG Rush tickets is $579.70 and the cheapest ticket available is now $151 on the resale market. Two other shows own a ticket average above $400; June 27 at Prudential Center in New Jersey ($521.17) and June 25 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia ($422.99). Get-in price for those shows starts at $115 and $215, respectively.

If looking to attend Rush’s cheapest gigs, look no further than June 21 at Bell Centre in Montreal. That show currently owns a secondary ticket average of $105.32 and get-in price is $22. A pair of shows on July 15 at Scotiabank Saddledome and July 17 at Rogers Arena own similar ticket averages at $105.36 and $106.80 on the secondary market.

Rush Announces VIP Contest for Upcoming Chicago Show at United Center, Tickets Averaging Over $500 on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 6/1/15) Things keep heating up for Rush fans, who have flocked to local arenas around North America to see the band on its 40th Anniversary Tour this past month. The influential prog rockers have 23 dates remaining on their milestone run, and their giving fans the opportunity to rock in style at their upcoming show at Chicago’s United Center on June 12. Geddy Lee and Co. have announced the ‘RUSH off to Chicago’ Sweepstakes via MLB.com, where fans can enter to win a free, all-expenses-paid trip to the gig next week.

New York Most Expensive, Vancouver Least Expensive Cities on Rush's 40th Anniversary Tour

(UPDATE 5/26/15) Influential prog-rockers Rush continue their 40th Anniversary Tour this week with three shows at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, Greensboro Coliseum and The National in Virginia. The band is still seeing a massive demand for tickets on the secondary market over their 26 remaining dates, with Rush tickets averaging at $232.59.

Rush’s most expensive show will be held on June 29 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. According to TicketIQ, New York City Rush tickets average at $568.19 and get-in price starts at $133 on the secondary market. Two others shows will also average above $500; June 27 at Prudential Center in New Jersey ($550.40) and June 8 at Nationwide Arena in Ohio ($511.14).

The band’s cheapest gig comes on July 17 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. That show owns a secondary average of $136.16 and get-in price is just $27. Three of Rush’s cheapest shows will be at Canadian venues, with stops at Scotiabank Saddledome ($136.44) and Bell Centre ($158.68) also averaging well below the tour’s median price.

(UPDATE 5/18/15) Rush continues its tour run across North America this week with four shows at American Airlines Center, Toyota Center, Smoothie King Center and Amalie Arena. The influential prog rockers are continuing to see big demand for tickets on the secondary market, and the average price for Rush tickets over its remaining 30 dates is $237.54.

The group is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a band and kicked things off in Tulsa at BOK Center May 8. The most expensive date of tour comes on June 27 at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, where tickets own a secondary average of $612.37 and get-in price is $109. Two other shows average above $500 – June 8 at Nationwide Arena ($518.53) andJune 29 at Madison Square Garden ($502.14). Get-in price for those two shows is $123 and $124, respectively.

The band’s cheapest date of tour will be on July 15 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. The Canada-based gig owns a secondary average of $132.30 and the cheapest available ticket is just $11. A second Canadian show at Rogers Arena two days later will be the second cheapest stop, with tickets averaging at $145.41 and get-in price starting at $25.

Over the band’s remaining 38 dates through August 1, the average secondary price for Rush tickets is $235.40. The most expensive stop on the tour will be held on June 27 at Prudential Center in New Jersey, where tickets own a median price of $522.78 and get-in price starts at $115 on the resale market.

Three other shows will average above $400. A June 8 stop at Nationwide Arena currently sees tickets average at $500.27 while May 30 at Jiffy Lube Live owns a mean price of $499.62. The third and final show exceeding the $400 threshold is a June 29 gig at Madison Square Garden, where tickets see a secondary average of $487.10.

If searching for the cheapest dates of tour, they will be held in three separate Canadian venues in June and July. On July 17, the band travels to Rogers Arena and sees a $142.44 ticket average and $25 get-in. Two days prior, a stop at the Scotiabank Saddledome averages at $145.16 and the cheapest available ticket is $12. The Bell Centre in Montreal welcomes Rush on June 21, with tickets averaging at $147.63 and get-in price starting at $27.

Rush Begins 40th Anniversary Tour Next Week

(UPDATE 4/27/15) Iconic prog-rock band Rush is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and Geddy Lee and Co. will see a huge demand for tickets on the secondary market in the process. The tour officially kicks off on May 8 at the BOK Center in Tulsa and will wind around North America through July 30, wrapping at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California. 32 dates in total are scheduled over the three-month road trip.

Rush tickets on TicketIQ average at $231.53 during the band’s U.S. and Canadian run. The Rock and Roll Hall Famers are expected to play several new songs along with their exhaustive discography of hits, including tracks from their debut self-titled album in 1974 to their latest studio effort, 2012’s Clockwork Angels.

The most expensive show of tour will be on June 27 at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. Tickets to that show see a secondary average of $509.27, 119% above tour average, with get-in price starting at $82. On the other side of the monetary spectrum, May 10 at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska will be the band’s least expensive tour date. That show currently averages at $125.75 and the get-in price is listed for $32.

Rush Launch "R40" 40th Anniversary North American Tour

(1/22/15) After months of teasing, Canadian prog-rock giants Rush have finally confirmed that they will celebrate their 40th anniversary later this year with a major North American tour.

Sharing the same name as 2014’s ten-disc boxset, R40, the 34-city trek was first hinted at by guitarist Alex Lifeson in a Rolling Stone interview ten months ago, while news of two specific dates briefly surfaced online in December.

But the band’s first live outing since 2012/13’s 72-date Clockwork Angels tour has now been made official, with Tulsa’s Bank of Oklahoma Center the first venue on the itinerary on May 5, and Los Angeles’ The Forum scheduled to be the final on August 1.

Alongside the shows at Boston’s TD Garden (June 23) and New York’s Madison Square Garden (June 29) that were revealed prematurely last month, the seven-time Grammy nominees will also visit the likes of New Orleans’ Smoothie King Arena on May 22, Detroit’s The Palace of Auburn Hills on June 14 and Irvine Meadows’ Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on July 30, as well as a hometown show at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on June 17.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are expected to showcase ‘a couple of new songs’ in amongst all the highlights from their extensive back catalogue, with their last tour spanning from 1974 self-titled debut (“Working Man”) right up to 2012’s Clockwork Angels (“Seven Cities of Gold”).
