WWE made big waves when it announced SummerSlam would be returning to the New York area. Typically held at Los Angeles’s Staples Center, this year’s SummerSlam will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. SummerSlam won’t be the only event WWE brings to town for the last weekend in August. The night before SummerSlam, WWE will hold NXT Takeover: Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.

NXT Takeover Brooklyn tickets are set to go on sale Saturday, July 18, but tickets have already started to make their way onto the secondary market. Current NXT Takeover tickets have an average price of $132.72 with a get-in price of $46. That will be significantly less expensive than SummerSlam tickets on August 22, which have an average of $261.75 and a get-in price of $133.

With over a month before the show, only one match has been made official for the card. The NXT Championship will be on the line when Finn Balor defends his title against Kevin Owens. Balor won the championship from Owens during WWE’s special Beast in the East event on July 4 in Japan. Owens will get a rematch and could also appear on the card the next night for the main roster show at SummerSlam. Owens has been a main roster fixture over the past few months, mostly challenging John Cena for his United States Championship. The two will fight for that title at WWE’s next pay-per-view, Battleground, on July 18.

While no other matches are currently official, Sasha Banks, Samoa Joe, Tyler Breeze and Charlotte have been advertised on the show. Like Owens, Sasha Banks and Charlotte could be pulling double duty that weekend after making their main roster debuts this past Monday on RAW.
