J. Cole’s Final ‘Forest Hills Drive’ Stop in North Carolina This Saturday Garnering $165 Ticket Average on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 8/26/15) J. Cole has quickly taken the rap world by storm, and his hometown show at Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina this Saturday will be a fitting finale for his monumental “Forest Hills Drive” Tour. The rapper has been touring in support of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, his third full-length album that was released last December. The culminating show is finding considerable ticket demand on the secondary market, too, as prices for J. Cole tickets have increased significantly over the last month.

According to TicketIQ the average secondary market price for J. Cole tickets in North Carolina is now $164.58, up 29.6% from the $126.98 average on July 26. The cheapest ticket to the show is $109, which marks a 127% jump from last month’s $48 get-in price.

With the release of 2014 Forest Hills Drive last year the 30-year-old became one of just six rappers to see their first three records claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. The album sold more than 371,000 copies in its first week alone and has since gone on to sell greater than 985,000. His preceding albums, Born Sinner in 2013 and Cole World: The Sideline Story in 2011, also reached the top spot on Billboard 200 following their respective releases.

With Tour Winding Down, J. Cole Tickets Averaging $164 on Secondary Market

(UPDATE 8/17/15) Six shows remain on the current North American leg of J. Cole’s “2014 Forest Hills Drive” Tour, which continues in the U.S. through the end of the month. The rapper will make notable stops in Florida, Texas, Colorado and his native North Carolina. Over the six shows remaining, the average price for J. Cole tickets is $163.94 on the secondary market.

Cole will make his most expensive stop on August 23 at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas. That show owns a secondary average of $214.33 and the get-in price starts at $35. One other show will average above $200 – August 25 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado ($204.56 avg./$149 get-in).

The rapper’s hometown show at Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, North Carolina onAugust 29 has a secondary ticket average of $171.33. The cheapest ticket to that show is $100. It will be his final show of tour, which is running in support of his album of the same name.

Other shows will be held at Austin360 Amphitheater on August 22 ($106.34 avg./$45),August 21 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion ($101.37 avg./$55 get-in) and August 18 at Coral Sky Amphitheatre ($100.05 avg./$37 get-in).

After Selling Out MSG, J. Cole Climbing the Ranks of Hip-Hop Hierarchy

 

(UPDATE 8/6/15) Few artists can sell out arenas while on tour across North America. Even fewer can say they have sold out New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Considered the Mecca of Basketball and "The World’s Most Famous Arena", MSG welcomed rapper J. Cole this past Tuesday, who proceeded to put on a performance in front of better than 20,000 fans. The rapper has solidified himself as one of the genre’s superstars with his latest release, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, and will continue to bolster massive ticket demand on the secondary market over the remaining dates on his subsequent tour.

According to TicketIQ, the average secondary price for J. Cole tickets across his 17 remaining shows is $160.65. The North Carolina native will make his most expensive stop on August 23at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, where tickets average $237.47 and the cheapest available ticket is $30. Several other shows will also average above $200, including stops at Aarons Amphitheatre at Lakewood August 15 ($230.74), August 16 at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre ($223.43) and September 5 at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre ($202.92).

He’ll make his cheapest stop on August 11 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati. That show owns a secondary ticket average of $91.23 and the get-in price starts at $35. No other shows will average below $100 on the secondary market, as an August 9 show at Jiffy Lube Live serves as the second least expensive gig with a $104.60 average and $56 get-in.

The "2014 Forest Hills Drive" Tour continues in the U.S. and Canada through August 29, when it wraps at the Crown Coliseum in Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

J. Cole Reveals Venues, European and North American Leg of Forest Hills World Tour

J. Cole has announced a slew of news to start the week. He’s officially revealed each venue he’ll hit along his first North American leg of the Forest Hills Drive Tour from March through April while also announcing a European and second North American leg later this year. Jhene Aiko, Pusha T, Big Sean and YG will join him on select dates in Europe and over his second trip through the U.S. and Canada.

The 30-year-old hip-hop artist will hit Europe from April 30 to May 18, when he wraps at the O2 in London. Pusha T will support him on his final four European dates.

He’ll head back to the U.S. and Canada to kick off a second North American leg on July 12 at the White River Amphitheatre in Seattle. An August 29 stop at Crown Coliseum is the last scheduled date on Cole’s upcoming tour. Big Sean will play all North American dates over his second leg, excluding a stop at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit on July 25.

Other notable stops include shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on July 19, Madison Square Garden in New York City on August 4 and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre onAugust 25. He concludes with a hometown show in Fayetteville, North Carolina on August 29.
