Lenny Kravitz Launches 2015 World Tour This Weekend

(UPDATE 8/20/15) He may think twice about wearing leather pants onstage during his upcoming World Tour, but Lenny Kravitz’s slip-up earlier this month hasn’t deterred excitement for his first batch of shows across the U.S. and Canada. Kravitz hits the road this Sunday and makes his first stop at the Afro Fest in Brooklyn, New York. 16 dates are scheduled through September 19, including festival gigs at JAS Aspen Labor Day and Music Midtown Festival. Over the first month of shows, the average price for Lenny Kravitz tickets is $126.97 on the secondary market.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Texas will host the “Fly Away” singer’s most expensive show on September 17. That show currently owns a secondary market ticket average of $193.48 and the cheapest available is listed for $63. Other top-priced gigs come on September 11 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles ($174.14 avg./$60 get-in), September 8 at The Chelsea Cosmopolitan ($154.66 avg./$50 get-in) andSeptember 13 at U.C. Berkeley’s Greek Theatre ($143.99 avg./$63 get-in).

Kravitz makes his cheapest stop on August 30 at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. That show has an average price of $49 and get-in price starts at just $18. He’ll play his second cheapest gig at the Ravinia Pavilion in Chicago four days later, where tickets average $71.79 and get-in price is $60.

Lenny Kravitz Announces First Batch of 2015 World Tour Dates

Rock and roll artist Lenny Kravitz has revealed the first U.S. dates on his upcoming world tour. The 51-year-old New York City native will tour in support of Strut, his 10th studio effort that was released in September of 2014. As of now, 12 dates are scheduled in August and September.

The tour will officially kick off on August 23 at the 2015 Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York. It then heads up to the Great White North for a gig at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on August 26 before making its first September stops in Virginia and Chicago. A West Coast run takes the “Fly Away” singer through Colorado, Nevada and California before hitting Texas for a pair of dates in the middle of the month. Tentatively, the tour’s final scheduled date is onSeptember 19 at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.

Kravitz will primarily hit amphitheaters across the continent along his first U.S. leg. Among notable stops include Philadelphia’s Mann Center on August 30, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on September 11 and 13 and Houston’s Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion on September 17.
