Mad Decent Block Party2

The Mad Decent Block Party now in its eighth year has quickly grown into the one of the largest music festivals on the circuit.  Mad Decent has come a long way since it first kicked off its Block Party tour in the summer of 2008, playing to a much smaller crowd with a rented tent, dunk tank, and a bbq on the block of 12th and Spring Garden in Philadelphia.  With the label now gaining much more attention in the subsequent years since its debut, performing to much larger crowds and venues, the label has played in nine different venues so far this year since kicking off the tour in late July.  After making stops in Las Vegas and Toronto this week, Mad Decent Block Party will then travel to Denver for a festival at the Red Rocks Amphitheater this Sunday August 30.

According to TicketIQ, Mad Decent Block Party tickets are still available on the secondary market for this Sunday’s show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater at an average price of $103.49, with the cheapest ticket priced at $59.  The festival at Red Rock, while not the least expensive show of the Block Party tour, is the cheapest ticket over the remaining dates of the tour, which will conclude in Chicago on September 26.  Mad Decent Block Party tickets have an overall average price of $126.87 on the secondary market.

The Mad Decent label showcases global pop and dance music and over the years the featured artists at the events have expanded with a roster of much higher profile of music artists, such as Matt and Kim and Outkast.

This year, every city or region has gotten a different lineup and the artists that have performed for Mad Decent include Major Lazer, ILOVEMAKONNEN, Skrillex, Cashmere Cat, and Yellow Claw to name a few.  The lineup of artists featured for the August 30 event in Denver include 2 Chainz, Grandtheft, Keys N Krates, Major Lazer, Party Favor, Stooki Sound, What So Not, and Yellow Claw.

After their show at this Sunday at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, the Mad Decent label will be busy in the month of September traveling to eight different cities including two shows in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Studio Center.  The last show of the US tour on September 26 is in Chicago though a venue has yet to be determined.
