2015 Patriots vs Jets Tickets Are 110% More Expensive At Gillette Stadium Than MetLife

September 8, 2015

The AFC East is going to be an interesting division to watch this season as every team competing against the New England Patriots have made big moves in the offseason. Some of the splashiest came from the New York Jets, who got back one of their best players in franchise history, Darrelle Revis, and also added receiver Brandon Marshall.  The New England Patriots remain the favorites in the division of course, they’re the defending Super Bowl champions and Tom Brady will be starting for the Patriots in Week 1 after his four-game suspension was nullified.  The Patriots and Jets have had some intense games over the past few seasons and their rivalry will renew in October for the first of two games against each other this season as the Todd Bowles era begins for the Jets.

The first Patriots vs Jets will be meeting is October 25 in Week 7 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.  Ever since Brady was cleared to play, Patriots tickets on the secondary market have skyrocketed, now averaging $344.65 for the 2015 season at Gillette on the secondary market.  Tickets against the Jets are not cheap at an average price of $471.88 on the secondary market, with a get-in price of $165.  That’s a 36% premium compared to the overall average for Patriots tickets at Gillette Stadium and is the second most expensive game on their home schedule. It’s also 110% more expensive than when the Pats visit the Jets later in the year.

Jets tickets, in contrast, will be much more affordable this season, but their game at MetLife against the New England Patriots will be the second most expensive game on their home schedule. The Jets host the Patriots on December 27, Week 16, with tickets at an average price of $224.28 on the secondary market, with the cheapest ticket priced at $54.

The Jets and Patriots have had total of 115 meetings dating back to 1960 with New England leading the all-time series 60-54-1.
