2015 Texans vs Colts Tickets Are 110% More Expensive In Houston Than Indianapolis

September 8, 2015

The AFC South division is the Indianapolis Colts’ to lose, as they have progressed in each of the last three seasons with quarterback Andrew Luck under center.  The Colts reached the AFC Championship, but were blown out by the New England Patriots in a controversial game highlighted by the deflated football saga.  Entering this season the Colts are expected to come out of the AFC South, and with one the easiest schedules in the NFL have one of the best chances to reach Super Bowl 50. The Houston Texans, however, will bring in a perhaps more dominant defense with Jadeveon Clowney now back healthy and the reigning defensive player of the year, JJ Watt, looking for another big time season.

Their first meeting of the year takes place in Week 5 for Thursday Night Football with the Texans hosting the Colts at NRG Stadium as tickets are going for an average price of $280.45 on the secondary market, with the cheapest ticket priced at $88.  Tickets for this game are 12% over the average price for Texans tickets at NRG Stadium which is $248.19. They’re also more than double the price, 110%, of secondary market tickets when the teams meet later in the season in Indianapolis.

After the initial meeting in Houston, the Colts will get their chance to host the Texans in Week 15 at Lucas Oil Stadium, where tickets have a secondary average price of $133.36 on the secondary market,. The get-in price for the game is currently $38.  Colts tickets on the secondary market will be very affordable all season, averaging $156.85 and their game against the Texans is one of the cheaper games at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2015.

The Texans first entered league in 2002, so there has not been a long history between these two teams, but so far it’s been one-sided.  In 26 meetings, the Colts have won 22 of them, and have won five in a row dating back to the 2013 season.
