2015 Broncos vs Chiefs Tickets Are 59% More Expensive In Denver Than KC

Peyton Manning2

The Denver Broncos have won four consecutive AFC West titles and have the best record in football at 38-10, since Peyton Manning’s arrival to Denver in 2012.  However, Manning showed his age as the 2014 season winded down, which resulted in a lackluster showing against the Indianapolis Colts this past January.  The Broncos parted ways with John Fox soon thereafter and hired Gary Kubiak, who presents a run heavy offense.  The Kansas City Chiefs on the other hand will look to improve on a 9-win season last year and hope to make it back into the postseason who are now a well coached team with a fine defense but there will be the question of whether Alex Smith take them to the promise land with his safety first approach under center.

The Chiefs, in the initial meeting with the Broncos this season, will host Week 2 for Thursday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium as Chiefs tickets for this game are going for an average price of $236.67 on the secondary market, with the cheapest seat priced at $93.  Chiefs tickets on the secondary market have a very affordable overall average of $125 at Arrowhead Stadium this season and tickets against the Broncos are 89% above the home average.

Broncos tickets on the secondary market will be in high demand throughout the 2015 season averaging $376.75 for games at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High.  The Broncos host the Chiefs on their home field in Week 10 and tickets for this game are going for an average price of $358.21 on the secondary market, with the cheapest ticket priced at $121.  It’s one of the more affordable games for the Broncos at home as tickets are 5% below their home average.
It’s been competitive between these two teams since their first meeting in almost 45 years ago. In 110 meetings including the playoffs, the Chiefs hold a slight edge at 56-54, but since the Manning era began, the Broncos have won six straight.
