LSU, Michigan Lead Most Expensive Tickets For Top 25 College Football Matchups

October 13, 2015

As we get deeper into the college football season, there will continue to be more marquee matchups popping up on the schedule. That will certainly be the case this weekend with five games between teams ranked in the Top 25. While not all games will demand high ticket prices on the secondary market, they will all be significant in which teams could be heading towards the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.

No. 8 Florida at No. 6 LSU  | Avg. Price: $349.91 | Get-in Price: $133

Florida won’t have quarterback Will Grier after he was suspended for the remainder of the season on Monday, but that’s yet to impact demand for tickets on the secondary market. The No. 8 Gators will head to Death Valley to play the No. 6 Tigers in one of two top-10 matchups this week. The current average price for LSU vs Florida tickets is $349.91 with a get-in price of $133. No other game in Baton Rouge will have an average above $300 for the remainder of the season.

No. 7 Michigan St. at No. 12 Michigan | Avg. Price: $341.55 | Get-in Price: $198

It barely took a half season, but Jim Harbaugh has already turned the Michigan Wolverines around. Thanks to a dominant defense, the Wolverines will enter this weekend as the No. 12 ranked team in the country. That improvement has come just in time for a battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy against Michigan State. The Spartans will head to The Big House on Saturday and the current average price for Michigan vs Michigan State tickets is $341.55 with a get-in price of $198.

No. 10 Alabama at No. 9 Texas A&M | Avg. Price: $298.53 | Get-in Price: $138

The Crimson Tide have fallen in the rankings due to an early season loss, but they’ll get a shot climbing back up with a road game against another top team, the No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies. The two teams will meet at Kyle Field for the second top-10 matchup this weekend. Texas A&M tickets against Alabama currently have an average price of $298.53 with a get-in price of $138.

No. 17 Iowa at No. 20 Northwestern | Avg. Price: $120.98 | Get-in Price: $47

The Hawkeyes and Wildcats have been two of the more unheralded Top 25 teams, and the two will square off at Ryan Field on Saturday. The Wildcats were on the unfortunate end of Michigan’s dominating 38-0 victory last season, but the loss was the first of their season. Against 6-0 Iowa, the current average price for Northwestern tickets is $120.98 with a get-in price of $47.

No. 18 UCLA at No. 15 Stanford (Thursday) | Avg. Price: $58.28 | Get-in Price: $23

The Bruins and Cardinal will kick off the college football week on Thursday night, though the intrastate Top 25 matchup is not bringing high prices on the secondary market. Stanford vs UCLA tickets are currently below a $60 average, despite the recent play of both schools. Stanford has dominated this rivalry recently, winning the past seven meetings, including the 2012 Pac-12 Championship Game.
