2016 Coachella Lineup Headlined By Guns N' Roses, LCD Soundsystem Reunions, Tickets On Sale Jan. 6

January 5, 2016

Some big reunions will be taking place at Coachella this year. Late on Monday night, the 2016 Coachella lineup was announced via Twitter and it brings a few verifications to rumored surprises. LCD Soundsystem and Guns N’ Roses will both be reuniting as headliners during the festival’s two weekends, which will take place April 15-17 and April 22-24.

Coachella tickets will go on sale through the festival’s website on January 6 at 11am. From presales, general admission passes for Weekend 1 are already sold out, but the second weekend will have passes available for $399 through the official website.

Tickets are much more expensive on the secondary market for both weekends. Passes for Weekend 1 have an average price of $827.11 and a get-in price of $479. Weekend 2 tickets have an average of $777.67 and a get-in price of $436.

LCD Soundsystem will be the main headliner on the Friday night of both weekends. The band has not played together in five years after a massive farewell show at Madison Square Garden that lasted over three hours. Along with the headlining slot at Coachella, it is also rumored 2016 tour dates will be announced shortly.

Perhaps the more anticipated reunion will be that of Guns N’ Roses, who will take the stage on Saturday night of both weekends. The reunion will include original members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. This will be the first Guns N’ Roses show that features both Rose and Slash since 1993. Like LCD Soundsystem, 2016 Guns N’ Roses tour dates are expected to be announced soon.

Calvin Harris will be Sunday’s headliner for both weekends and will be the first DJ to hold a main headliner spot in the festival’s history. The rest of the 2016 Coachella lineup is posted below.
