Top College Basketball Games of the Week (1/18)

January 18, 2016

The college basketball season is in full force, and what better way to celebrate than by bringing back our top games list each week? This week will showcase four top-priced games on Saturday, including a battle between Texas and Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. Duke and North Carolina will round off this week's list at PNC Arena in Raleigh.

Check out this week's most expensive games below, per TicketIQ:

1/23/16 Texas Longhorns @ Kansas Jayhawks | Avg. Price: $244.43 | Get-in: $85

The 11-6 Longhorns travel to Allen Fieldhouse to take on 15-2 Jayhawks on Saturday, and the average price for Kansas Jayhawks tickets against the Texas Longhorns is $244.43 on the secondary market. The cheapest ticket available is currently listed for $85. Kansas entered last week as the No. 1-ranked school in the country but will likely be pushed down by Oklahoma, who owns a 15-1 record and first-place honors in the Big 12.

1/23/16 Vanderbilt Commodores @ Kentucky Wildcats | Avg. Price: $202.08 | Get-in: $71

It has been a relatively slow start for the Kentucky Wildcats, whose 12-3 record has positioned them as the No. 14-ranked school in the country. Ticket demand remains high for home games, however, and such will be the case when they host Vanderbilt on Saturday. The average secondary market price for Kentucky Wildcats tickets against the Vanderbilt Commodores is $202.08 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $71.

1/23/16 Maryland Terrapins @ Michigan State Spartans | Avg. Price: $159.29 | Get-in: $66

Michigan State will experience a drop on the AP Poll this week after losing two consecutive games to Iowa and Wisconsin last week. They'll take on Maryland at Jack Breslin Arena on Saturday, and the average price for Michigan State Spartans tickets is $159.29 for that game. The get-in price starts from $66.

1/23/16 Duke Blue Devils @ North Carolina Tar Heels | Avg. Price: $155.22 | Get-in: $59

Duke and North Carolina have looked like ordinary squads through the first two months of play, but their showdown in Raleigh this Saturday will still be a top-priced affair on the secondary market. The average price for North Carolina Tar Heels tickets against Duke is currently $155.22 and the cheapest ticket available is listed for $59. Duke has lost back-to-back games while North Carolina enters the week at 16-2, uncharacteristically dropping games to Northern Iowa and Texas in November and December, respectively.
