2016 SEC Tournament Tickets Are Most Expensive For Saturday's Semifinals

Bridgestone Arena in Nashville will the hosting site of the 2016 SEC Tournament, which will be held between March 9 and 13. Featuring 13 of the conference's 14 schools, this year's tournament will not feature the University of Missouri, who will miss the action due to a self-imposed postseason ban warranted in January. It will be the second of three consecutive years the tournament takes up hosting duties in Nashville before moving to Scottrade Center in St. Louis in 2018.

The 2016 SEC Tournament kicks off on Wednesday and concludes four days later with the championship game on Sunday afternoon. View the official seedings in this year's tournament below:

Below is a match breakdown of each session and its ticket prices on the secondary market:

3/9 - First Round (Session 1) - No. 12 Tennessee vs No. 13 Auburn (7pm)

The opening round of play will kick off on Wednesday when No. 12 Tennessee takes on No. 13 Auburn at 7pm. The Vols went 6-12 in conference play while the Tigers compiled just a 5-13 conference record. The teams round out the bottom seeding of the tournament with the 10-21 Missouri Tigers out of the mix this season.

3/10 - Second Round (Session 2) - No. 8 Florida vs No. 9 Arkansas (12pm), No. 5 Vanderbilt vs No. 12/13 (2:30pm)
Avg. Price: $33 | Get-in Price: $6

Four games will be held on Thursday, and the earlier sessions will feature No. 8 Florida against No. 9 Arkansas at noon followed by No. 5 Vanderbilt against the Game 1 winner. This will be the cheapest session of the tournament, with the get-in price starting from just $6 on the secondary market.

3/10 - Second Round (Session 3) - No. 7 Ole Miss vs No. 10 Alabama (6pm), No. 6 Georgia vs No. 11 Mississippi State (8:30pm)

Session 3 later that evening will see No. 7 Ole Miss take on No. 10 Alabama beginning at 6pm before No. 6 Georgia battles No. 11 Mississippi Stat at 8:30pm. This session will be the second least expensive, with tickets averaging just $44 and the cheapest listed for $7.

3/11 - Quarterfinals (Session 4) - No. 1 Texas A&M vs No. 8/9 (12pm), No. 4 LSU vs No. 5/12/13 (2:30pm)

The Quarterfinal stage will begin on Friday when No. 1 Texas A&M takes on either No. 8 Florida or No. 9 Arkansas beginning at 12pm. Session 4 will also feature a second game between No. 4 LSU and either No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 12 Tennessee or No. 13 Auburn at 2:30pm. While both Quarterfinal sessions are posting considerable ticket demand, the earlier session will be the cheaper at an average price of $120.18 and a $37 get-in price. As the No. 1 team in the conference, it will be A&M's first tournament game. The Aggies went 13-5 in conference play this season.

3/11 - Quarterfinals (Session 5) - No. 2 Kentucky vs No. 7/10 (6pm), No. 3 South Carolina vs No. 6/11 (8:30pm)

The Quarterfinal stage will continue Friday night when No. 2 Kentucky faces either No. 7 Ole Miss or No. 10 Alabama. John Calipari and his Wildcats appear to be the big draw of the tournament, as this will easily be the most expensive session of the entire tournament on average. Tickets to the nighttime Quarterfinal session now average $270.84 and the cheapest ticket is listed for $70.

3/12 - Semifinals (Session 6) - No. 1/8/9 vs No. 4/5/12/13 (12pm), No. 2/7/10 vs No. 3/6/11 (2:30pm)

Secondary market ticket demand will increase as the competition heats up, and Saturday's Semifinal games are offering the biggest starting price among all sessions. With the first game starting at 12pm and the second game beginning at 2:30pm, the cheapest available SEC Tournament Semifinals ticket is now listed for $104.

3/13 - Championship (Session 7) (12pm)

Sunday's championship game will feature the SEC's top two schools vying for their place in the history books. The action starts at 12pm and the cheapest tickets currently start at $82. No. 1 seed Texas A&M has never won a SEC Championship while Kentucky seeks its second consecutive and 29th overall championship since the tournament's inception in 1933.
