Kansas, Oklahoma Drawing High Demand For Big 12 Tournament Tickets

The Big 12 Conference has emerged as one of the deepest conferences in college basketball this season. Kansas currently holds the No. 1 ranking in the country, while Buddy Hield has led the Oklahoma Sooners back to relevance not seen since the Blake Griffin days. West Virginia, Texas, Baylor, Iowa State, and Texas Tech are also expected to make the NCAA tournament in March.

The Big 12 Tournament takes place at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The first slate of games starts on March 9 with the championship game scheduled for March 12 at 9:00 pm. Below are the seedings for the tournament:

Below are the individual matchups in each session for the Big 12 Tournament and the price for each on the secondary market:

3/9 – Session 1 – No. 8 Kansas State vs No. 9 Oklahoma State (6pm), No. 7 Texas Tech vs No. 10 TCU (8pm)

The first day of the tournament features No. 8 Kansas State vs No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 7 Texas Tech vs No. 10 TCU. Only Kansas State and Texas Tech carry winning records into these games. This session currently has an average price of just $48 and a get-in price of $6.

3/10 – Session 2 – No. 4 Texas vs No. 5 Baylor (11:30am), No. 1 Kansas vs No. 8/9 (1:30pm)
Avg. Price: $222.15 | Get-in Price $109

Session 2 starts with No. 4 Texas vs No. 5 Baylor, both of whom have strong resumes and winning records in conference play. Following that game, No. 1 Kansas looks to start its quest for its first Big 12 title since 2013, against the winner of Kansas State vs Oklahoma State. This session currently has an average price of $222.15, significantly more expensive than the first night, and a get-in price of $109.

3/10 – Session 3 – No. 2 West Virginia vs No. 7/10 (6pm), No. 3 Oklahoma vs No. 6 Iowa State (8pm)

The third session of the tournament features Bob Huggins-led No. 2 West Virginia vs No. 7/10. The second game of the session should be a good one in No. 3 Oklahoma vs No. 6 Iowa State. Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield and Iowa State’s Georges Niang are two of the most prolific players in the country this season. This session currently has an average price of $177.99 and a get-in price of $97.

3/11 – Session 4 – No. 4/5 vs No. 1/8/9 (6pm), No. 2/7/10 vs No. 3/6 (8pm)

The “final four” of the tournament will take place on Friday with the most expensive Get-in price in the entire tournament of $202. Last year’s final four of the Big 12 included Kansas, Iowa State, Oklahoma, and Baylor. This session currently has an average price of $312.53, the most expensive of the tournament.

3/12 – Championship Game (5pm)
Avg. Price: $238.93 | Get-in Price $118

The championship game will be held at 5 pm on Saturday between the two winners of the semifinals. Iowa State has won the last two Big 12 tournament championships, but will face tough competition if they want to complete the trifecta. The championship currently has an average price of $238.93 and a get-in price of $118.
