Janet Jackson Postpones All 'Unbreakable' Tour Dates

April 6, 2016

(UPDATE 4/6/16) And just like that, Janet Jackson's "Unbreakable" World Tour will be delayed yet again. The 49-year-old singer on Wednesday announced that all dates along the tour, which were rescheduled to begin in May, have been postponed indefinitely. Jackson released the news via video on her official Twitter page, citing the need for extended rest as she plans for a family with husband Wissam Al Mana.

The tour hit its first road block back in October, when Jackson was forced to cancel four shows after experiencing vocal discomfort. She then announced that she would undergo an unspecified vocal procedure in late December, which prompted her to reschedule more than 25 dates for the summer the following month. All 54 stops in North America between May and August are now postponed with no timetable for reconfiguration.

Back in December Jackson told fans that all previously purchased tickets would be honored at all rescheduled dates. It is expected that the same holds true after the tour's indefinite postponement Wednesday, though neither Jackson or Live Nation have yet to confirm.

After announcing to fans late last month that she would be forced to postpone her mammoth "Unbreakable" World Tour to correct an undisclosed vocal illness, the 49-year-old has rescheduled a slew of dates set for this summer.
