Warriors & Spurs' Two Meetings This Week Are Posting Playoff-Like Ticket Prices

April 5, 2016

By Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors may own the best single-season record in NBA history. They'll have to get through the San Antonio Spurs twice before doing so, however, and for the paying fan, ticket prices won't come cheap. Both games at Oracle Arena and AT&T Center are posting massive demand on the secondary market, as listed by TicketIQ below:

4/7/16 San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors | Avg. Price: $584.69 | Get-in: $150

The Warriors will host the first meeting at Oracle Arena on Thursday night. It will be the more expensive of the pair of games, with Warriors vs Spurs tickets currently averaging $584.69 on the secondary market. If looking just to get in, the cheapest ticket to the game is currently listed for $150.

It will be the second time the Spurs make the trip to Oakland this season. They were victims of a 30-point loss to the Warriors back in January. That game also posted big ticket demand, averaging at $412.59 and the get-in price starting from $180.

4/10/16 Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs | Avg. Price: $468.83 | Get-in: $65

The fourth and final meeting of the regular season between the two teams will be held at AT&T Center on Sunday. Should the Warriors win each of their next three games, a victory on Sunday night would be their 73rd, breaking the 72-10 record the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls posted. With such a big milestone on the horizon, ticket prices will be costly in San Antonio.

As it stands now, the average resale price for Spurs vs Warriors tickets is $468.83 and the get-in price starts from $65. However, that is considerably cheaper than the first meeting in San Antonio on March 19, where tickets averaged $856.90 and the cheapest ticket was $241. Spurs fans in attendance were rewarded kindly, as the Spurs handed the Warriors their seventh loss of the season in a 87-79 victory.

If planning on catching the Spurs and Warriors in a potential Western Conference Finals series, don't expect to find tickets for any cheaper than the final two regular season games this week. In four potential Conference Finals home games at Oracle Arena, the Warriors are currently posting a $1,077.66 average on the secondary market. Tickets will be significantly cheaper in San Antonio if the Spurs reach the penultimate round, with tickets averaging $692.87 at AT&T Center.
