(UPDATE 6/3/16) Bob Dylan will return to the road this weekend in support of Fallen Angels, his new album that was released last month. The iconic folk singer is slated to make 29 stops through North America between June and July, and he'll be bringing along Mavis Staples for the month-long jaunt.

Bob Dylan Announces 2016 Tour Dates in Support of Forthcoming Album

(ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED 3/7/16) The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan will be on the road again this summer. Dylan on Monday announced a summer run of U.S. shows in support of his upcoming album Fallen Angels, which has yet to be given a release date. It will be the iconic musician's first expansive North American run of shows since May of last year.

The tour launches on June 4 with a pair of shows at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and will make 27 stops through July 17, when it ultimately wraps at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. Dylan will primarily make stops in amphitheaters and pavilions along the six-week excursion. Within the mix is a stop at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois on June 24, the only festival date along the summer route. The run follows a 15-date run through Japan in April.

Ticket onsale dates vary by venue, with the first batch of dates going on sale this Friday, March 11. All dates will officially be on sale via Dylan's official website by Tuesday, April 26. Fan who purchase tickets to an upcoming show will be given a redemption code to download Fallen Angels upon its release.

If past tours are indicative of how Dylan tickets will sell on the secondary market, fans can expect to pay big prices following each show's onsale. Dylan's latest North American installment of his "Never Ending" Tour came in the spring of 2015, where resale tickets along the 28-date trek averaged $155.15. Since 2011, when TicketIQ began tracking secondary market ticket data, Dylan's cheapest tour came in 2013 with an average ticket price of $117.08.
