49ers Ticket Prices Continue to Fall in Third Year at Levi's Stadium

September 15, 2016

The rebuild continues in Santa Clara, and resale prices for San Francisco 49ers tickets are dropping in the team's third season at Levi's Stadium.

Bogged down by quarterback controversy, last year's mass exodus of retiring players and the lasting effect of their fallout with former head coach Jim Harbaugh, the 49ers are expected to again finish in the NFC West cellar in 2016. Such a projection is impacting ticket demand on the secondary ticket market, too, as the average resale price for 49ers tickets at Levi's Stadium has decreased for a second straight year.

On TicketIQ, 49ers tickets are averaging $223.31 across all eight homes games in 2016. That marks a 5% drop from last season's average of $234.06. More notably that average price has fallen 41% from the 2014's average of $379.22, the inaugural season at Levi's Stadium. 2016 will be the 49ers' cheapest season since 2012.

The most expensive home game on the 49ers schedule this season comes against the Dallas Cowboys during Week 4. The average resale price for tickets is currently $492.41 and the get-in price is $229. Just one other game at Levi's Stadium this season averages over $400 on the resale market. A Week 11 game against the New England Patriots owns a $406.92 average and $174 get-in price.

Conversely, a Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals is the cheapest home game in Santa Clara. That game owns a $161.64 average and the least expensive ticket is listed from $48 on the secondary market. Two other games fall below the $200 average threshold. Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lists a $171.24 average and $56 get-in price. The New York Jets will be in town during Week 14, where tickets average $170.36 and the get-in price is $50.

On the primary market, 49ers tickets on Ticketmaster are still available for all seven remaining home games at Levi's Stadium. Prices vary depending on opponent, however. The November 13 Cardinals game owns a get-in price of $65, while the cheapest ticket to see the Cowboys play is $190. $65 tickets are available for games against the Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.
