Governors Ball has revealed their 2017 lineup, which will include Tool, Chance the Rapper, Phoenix, and Childish Gambino at the top of the bill. The New York City-based festival will take place at Randall’s Island Park on June 2-4, and tickets for Governors Ball go on sale Friday, January 6th at Noon EST via the festival website.
The GA 3-Day Early Bird passes start at $275 + fees, and only a small quantity will be made available. The next price tier, a GA 3-Day Advance Pass, starts at $290 + fees, and a GA 3-Day Regular pass will start at $305 + fees.
Additional acts appearing at the festival include Lorde, Wu-Tang Clan, Flume, Mark Ronson vs. Kevin Parker, Cage the Elephant, Air, The Avalanches, ScHoolboy Q, Beach House, Local Natives, Franz Ferdinand, Mac DeMarco, Danny Brown, Charli XCX, Royal Blood, Warpaint, Phantogram, and more.
If history repeats itself, Governors Ball is likely to sell out pretty quickly, forcing fans to rely on the secondary market for tickets. Last year, tickets to the festival averaged an impressive $424, with the cheapest 3-day pass going for $349.
Last year’s festival featured was forced to cancel the entirety of their Sunday show, including a headlining set by Kanye West, due to severe weather.
