Undertaker's Return Sparks WWE Raw Ticket Prices

February 12, 2014

Since the announcement of the Undertaker's return to WWE Raw on February 24th, average ticket price for the event have skyrocketed up 57% to an average of $147/ticket.

The WWE's phenom has always been one of the company’s top draws, and despite seeing limited in-ring action the past few years, he clearly commands a premium. His return date of February 24th at Green Bay's Resch Center is the 3rd most expensive of Pre-Wrestlemania WWE Raw tickets, trailing only Feb 10th at the Staples Center (Average price $308) and March 24th at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center (Average price $247). In comparison, Royal Rumble winner Batista's RAW return on January 20th has been this year's cheapest, averaging $59 on the secondary market.

Just how in-demand is the Undertaker? WWE tickets for his return to RAW average $20 more than Elimination Chamber tickets the night before at Minnesota's Target Center. Cheapest seat is currently $93 while Floor seats start at $115.

Though 'Taker is not expected to wrestle, he clearly sparks the interest of the entire WWE Universe. Fans will be cheering in the stands and tuning in on USA Network in anticipation of why the storied veteran will be present in Green Bay. Will it be to confront a challenger for his undefeated Wrestlemania streak, to embark on a WWE world heavyweight championship quest, or to simply plug the WWE Network? Whatever the reason, fans are clearly willing to pay top dollar to see WWE's Lord of Darkness.
