A couple Broadway favorites return to the list this week, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder remains on the list for the second week in a row. Overall prices are up across the board with the largest weekly trend belonging to Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The Book of Mormon, Kinky Boots and Motown round out the top five Broadway shows.
7/1 Hedwig and the Angry Inch | Avg. Price: $720.83 | Get-in Price: $232
Last week tickets were averaging over $1,000, so even topping the list at $720.83 has to seem like a steal. That average is even with prices trending up 24 percent for the July 1 show over the last week. The get-in price is also surprisingly affordable for the favorite, with Hedwig and the Angry Inch tickets going for a minimum of $232.
7/2 Book of Mormon | Avg. Price: $555.82 | Get-in Price: $371
It’s been a few weeks since Book of Mormon has made the list, but the show has rockets all the way up to the second spot. Book of Mormon tickets have increased 18 percent over the week for an average of $555.82. The get-in price is the most expensive of the week at $371.
7/1 Kinky Boots | Avg. Price: $450.89 | Get-in Price: $129
It’s rare, if ever, that Kinky Boots doesn’t find its way onto the top five. This week the July 1 show has settled in to the third spot. Kinky Boot tickets are averaging $450.89, the last show on the list to top the $400 average for the week. The get-in price is $129.
7/5 Motown | Avg. Price: $398.64 | Get-in Price: $65
Motown is another show that rarely finds itself off the list, but last week was one of those weeks. Not surprisingly the hiatus was short for the musical favorite, with the Saturday show averaging $398.64. Motown tickets easily have the cheapest get-in price for the week at $65.
7/1 A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder | Avg. Price: $362.89 | Get-in price: $194
For the second week in a row the final show on the list is A Gentleman’s Guid to Love and Murder. Prices for the show have gone up 17 percent over the course of the week for an average price of $362.89. The get-in price of $194 is third on the list, and closer to second than it is to fourth.
